There are many types of salsa out there. What we teach here is New York style
ON2. The ON2 style, known as Mambo, is known for exuding elegance and
smoothness while savoring the raw beat of one of salsa music's most
fundamental instruments: THE CONGAS!
Here at ¡SABOR! we understand the importance of music in creating any dance
form. Therefore, we are bringing the music to the forefront. In addition to
teaching you the steps, we'll also teach you about the instruments, to further
immerse you into the world of Latin dance and enhance your dancing experience.
PLUS! You'll learn how to spice up your salsa right from the beginning! We'll
teach you body movement, styling tips and how to create partner chemistry!

is longer than most group dance classes. We want to be sure we can be thorough,
not rushed, and we want you to have time to practice what you learn while we
are around to answer your questions.

- Mambo Foundations ON2, MONDAYS 7:00 - 8:30pm: If you have
never danced NY style mambo before or are converting to ON2
from ON1, then this is the class for you. This is where we teach, in-
depth, the technique of the basic step, lead and follow concepts
and beginner body movement. This class is only $5 !
**Please note: The Mambo Foundations class is a prerequisite to the
Level 1 and Level 2 Partnerwork classes.**
- Level 1 - Partnerwork Basics Class, MONDAYS 7:00 - 8:30pm: In
this level you will learn lead and follow techniques, dance floor
etiquette and beginner combinations of the following moves:
Cross Body Lead, Right Turn, Left Turn, Inside Turn, Outside Turn,
Walk Through, In & Out, Free Spin, Wrap and Superwoman. We
will also cover basic shine footwork.
- Level 2 - Partnerwork Variations Class, MONDAYS 8:30 - 10:00pm:
In this level you will learn a series of variations based on the steps
you learned in Level 1, that are put together in a pattern to create
smooth social dancing and partner chemistry. We also focus more
on styling techniques for men and women and more intricate and
creative footwork for shines.
- Prices: The Mambo Foundations class is only $5. Partnerwork
classes are $10 per class OR you can buy a package of 5 classes for
only $45!! Also, high school and college students with current ID
pay only $5 per class! To Register: Simply arrive to class 10-15
minutes early to fill out a short form.
- What to Wear: You can wear whatever you would like to class...
business clothes, jeans and t-shirt, even you pajamas if you so
desire. However, we strongly advise against flip flops or other
open back shoes for learning mambo.

pink concrete and white iron, short wall surrounding
